If you are living with one kidney or you have lost part of a kidney due to a partial nephrectomy but you are otherwise healthy, then your risk of being infected with COVID-19 would likely be similar to someone with two kidneys.

However, every person is unique, and many factors can result in increased risk of COVID-19. If you are worried, you should ask your GP or healthcare team for information about your own individual risk.

If you have chronic kidney disease, you can find more information about your risk of COVID-19 here. Most patients with kidney cancer do not have chronic kidney disease.
