To mark a special occasion, such as an anniversary, retirement, a birthday, or a wedding you could ask for donations instead of gifts to help raise funds to support people with kidney cancer. 

This is an inspirational way to mark a special occasion, and it can provide crucial funding to help support kidney cancer patients and their families.

Create a celebration page

We would like to thank you for collecting donations for Action Kidney Cancer during your special occasion and/or in leu of gifts – it is very much appreciated.  Even the smallest donation can make a big difference to small charity like ourselves.

We recommend setting up a special celebration page on one of the donation platforms, such as JustGiving, Enthuse or Total Giving. All money raised will be donated to our charity to help support kidney cancer patients and their families. Also, when using these platforms you don’t have to worry about Gift Aid. You can also donate the funds using the donate form on our Donate page or by clicking on our Donate to Action Kidney Cancer form.

If you use Facebook, you can create a Facebook Fundraising page. This is an easy way to ask people to donate to Action Kidney Cancer.

Here are some ideas for your celebration page:

  • Use photos and stories to explain why you’ve chosen to support Action Kidney Cancer. Use a story that is personal to you.
  • Decide on an overall fundraising target and add it to your page.
  • Add the link to your page on your invitations, emails and your thank you messages.
  • Thank people for their donations.

Some celebration fundraising ideas

Here are some ideas that will make it easier for your guests to donate to Action Kidney Cancer:

The code helps to ensure that the work of fundraising organisations is legal, open, honest and respectful.
