Last month, Karen McNee from Action Kidney Cancer joined Lucie Broome, the renal oncology lead CNS, and the health care professionals from The Royal Surrey Cancer centre in Guildford and supported them in hosting a kidney cancer patient information day.

The day was a great opportunity for patients and carers to connect with each other, share their experiences of living with kidney cancer, and learn about the latest treatments, supportive care, dietary advice, exercise and much more from the healthcare professionals.

Everyone who attended found the day to be insightful and very beneficial and they cannot wait to attend the next one! Here is some feedback from patients who attended the day:
Great day, hugely beneficial
Very good – Very well organised – Helpful in so many ways. Thank you
Wish I had been to one before! So much Good general information

Made me realise I can do more to help myself, and others are worse than me
