The second Northern Soul event took place over the weekend of the 13 and 14 August at Nantwich Town’s stadium . This was the first time the event has been run over two days, and it was a great success. A massive thank you to Dave, Shirley and Steve Pointon, who organised the event to raise funds for Action Kidney Cancer. Everyone had a great time, danced the weekend away, enjoyed great music and raised £2,540 in the process.

We would like to thank Nantwich Town Football Club, who provided the venue, and DJs: Little Scotty (Wolverhampton), Don “Mopsey” Morris (Sheffield), Paul Lightley (Nottingham), Avril Kesteven (Stamford) and Mike Coburn (Stoke on Trent).

Tracey Redman Husbands (Nottingham), Elvin Ironmonger (Manchester), Jim Fox (Worksop), Rod Looker (Widnes), and Russ Harvey (Driffield) also took part.

Approximately 300 people attended the event, enjoying the music and dancing over the weekend.

The date for next year’s Northern Soul Weekender has already been set for 12 and 13 August 2023; a date for the diary!
