Man-made antibodies that specifically bind to signalling proteins which control various biological functions, such as angiogenesis, and interfere with their actions. Monoclonal antibodies can be used alone, or they can be used to deliver drugs, toxins or radioactive material directly to the tumour. Examples include bevacizumab, nivolumab and pembrolizumab.
