AstraZeneca and Oxford University’s COVID-19 vaccine is being rolled out in the UK from today, 4 January 2021, following approval by the UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) on 30 December.

In a statement released today, the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) announced that over half a million doses of the vaccine are available. In addition, ‘tens of millions’ further doses are expected to be delivered in the coming weeks and months.
