The National Cancer Patient Experience survey allows cancer patients to give feedback on the care they have received. This feedback is used to understand where care is working well and how NHS cancer services across England can be improved. Results from the survey are used by providers to improve the experience of cancer patients at a national, regional, and local level.

The survey is open for people (aged 16+) treated for cancer to share their feedback. You need to have a confirmed cancer diagnosis and received inpatient or day-case cancer-related care or treatment in April, May, or June last year to qualify for the survey. You will receive a letter from NHS England inviting you to take part in the survey via post if you are eligible for the survey. There will be an access code on the letter to enable you to complete the survey. The survey will close on 30th January 2026.
