Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year!

We would like to wish you a lovely Christmas with your loved ones and all the very best for the new year. We know Christmas can be a wonderful time of year, but also a difficult one for some in our community. We hope you are able to see your friends and family and share some special times together during the festive season.

This year has been a busy year for KCSN members, adapting to the ongoing pandemic: We have been running regular Click & Chat sessions to bring people together virtually, we have launched some expert-led videos on nephrectomy and psychosocial support, made numerous applications to NICE and the Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC), been involved with a virtual World Kidney Cancer Day, and a virtual International Kidney Cancer Coalition (IKCC) conference.

As you can expect, our fundraising activities declined considerably this year, but we would like to say a huge thank you to those who were able to support us. We know organising or taking part in an event during the pandemic created added challenges, and we are immensely grateful for your support. Support over the Christmas holidays

We know Christmas and the coronavirus pandemic can be a difficult time for some people. If you are struggling, please remember you can always find someone to talk to within the KCSN community. Our Facebook groups are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and members are active at all times of day and night. Our groups are managed by the patients or carers themselves; this is a very special community who truly understand what it is like living with the emotional and physical effects of kidney cancer. This can be a comfort if you need support and information over the Christmas holidays.

KCSN Christmas Cards

Don't forget you can still support us when purchasing your greetings cards. Our digital Christmas cards are now available to send to friends and family through the platform. You can donate as much or as little as you want to KCSN. Just click on the link below, select the card you would like to send and follow the instructions on the form:

Kidney Cancer Support Network Christmas eCards |

You can choose from six designs, two of which are shown above. You then add your message and the email addresses for up to 100 email cards in one batch. You can also personalise the emails for each recipient. All this for one donation. You can then share your goodwill on Facebook.

The funds raised will be used to reinforce our patient support services and help keep them going throughout the Christmas period and the coronavirus pandemic.

We are very grateful to Alison Fielding and Jo King for allowing us to use their photographs for our Christmas cards this year.

Sending you our very best wishes for Christmas and 2022!

From the KCSN Team
