Research carried out by the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in America has demonstrated that stereotactic radiotherapy is an effective treatment for people with kidney cancer. The research showed that stereotactic radiotherapy treatment had 90% control over the growth of kidney tumours. The researchers suggest this finding could potentially lead to the possibility of delaying drug treatment and the associated side effects.
