A recent study of 362 patients with brain metastases from renal cell carcinoma (RCC) were treated with stereotactic radiosurgery to remove the metastases. The researchers concluded that stereotactic radiosurgery is highly effective in patients with brain metastases from RCC, and concomitant use of tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), such as sunitinib and pazopanib, does not suggest higher risk of neuronal toxicity.
