Last month, 30 cancer charities came together to develop a joint manifesto: One Cancer Voice. The manifesto recommends solutions to some of the biggest issues in cancer that we, and the Government, will face over the next five years. Whilst the document covers a wide range of issues – from early diagnosis to supporting the psychological needs of people with cancer –  it makes it clear that the immediate priority must be taking urgent action to increase investment in the NHS workforce. Workforce underpins all our ambitions in cancer treatment and care, and without action in this area we are unlikely to see any real improvements.

Just before Christmas the One Cancer Voice manifesto was sent to the Secretary of State for Health, along with a letter signed by 24 cancer charities, including Rose Woodward from KCSN.
