Real world data

Data that are collected outside the controlled constraints of conventional randomised clinical trails to evaluate what is happening in normal clinical practice. Real world data comes from various sources, such as patient data, data from clinicians, hospital data, and social data. When used with data from controlled clinical trials, real world data can provide new insights into the effects and use of treatments in different patient groups.
